 The
Radiation Implant Brief is an innovative method for securing
GYN brachytherapy applicators. Used for both low and high
dose intravaginal brachytherapy, the Radiation Implant Brief
is made of a soft cotton lycra material with a slit in the
crotch. The implant is held in place with elastic straps,
and attached to the brief with hook and loop closures.
The Radiation Implant Brief addresses these problems:
o Effective means of securing the implant
o Comfortable (no sutures)
o No skin irritation (no tape)
o Maintains a patient's dignity (covers the genitalia and
perineum)
